Tidy Tights

Well who doesn't recognize the problem keeping the tights in some order!

Here is the best tip I have seen totally brilliant and is going to be on my next to do list that is for sure!

1. Get those tights.2
2. Find some wooden clothes pegs.
3. Measure the side of your wardrobe, or wherever you want to hang your tights. Measure from the top 
4. Draw a line on where you want the pegs to be.
5.Get your glue gun and glue the pegs to the closet or wall.
6. Let the glue dry.

Homemade Ginger Peach Jam

You will need:

6 large peaches
1 cup sugar (add more sugar if you want things a bit sweeter)
2 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt

Incredible upholstery on park benches

Steve Vanhulle at mousseopmaat.com in Belgium made this incredible upholstery for the park benches in his home town. The upholstery can be put on and removed in a couple of seconds and fits on all the benches. Turn Empty Jars into a Butterfly Oasis

This project is quick, easy, and very inexpensive.

Here is what you will need:

2.5″ Butterflies in Various Colors (as desired)
Green Moss
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Wire Cutters
Chipboard – from a spiral notebook, cereal box or anything else you could recycle from
Glass Jar(s) that you have on hand

Here is how this one is made:

Using a serrated knife, cut a one-inch thick circle piece of Styrofoam into a five-inch circle. Next, cut a nine-inch circle from black velvet. Pull the fabric over the Styrofoam until taut and affix underneath with straight pins. Using our photo as a guide, cut pieces of 22-guage wire to various heights that fit within the dome. Place a dot of superglue on one wire end before sliding it into a butterfly's body; hold in place until dry. Repeat for each butterfly. Finally, insert the wires into the Styrofoam base, then top with the glass. Source

Shrimp Linguine in a Tomato and White Wine Sauce


A quick and easy shrimp linguine in a tomato and white wine sauce that is nice and light and healthy and yet full of flavour? This  recipe is definitely a keeper!

You will need:

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, chopped
chili flakes to taste
1/4 cup white wine
1 (28 ounce) can plum tomatoes, crushed
1/2 teaspoon oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deviened
1/2 cup fresh herbs such as parsley and basil, chopped
1 pound linguine
